The three founders of AllPlayers.com join the Mayor of Addison to officially cut the ribbon at our Grand Opening

Last week, AllPlayers.com hosted our Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony at our new headquarters in Addison, TX. We had many dignitaries in attendance including the Mayor of Addison and many national organization leaders.

The halls of our new spacious office were packed with people, curious to see the new office layout, meet our teams and to see where the magic happens.  We had wine tasting from “Legends Wine” by Ivana Trump and even a vegan wine “The Vegan Vine” from NBA Champion John Salley!

Many thanks to those who spent their evening with us and especially to those local businesses who donated their time and their products to help make our celebration fun and memorable!

AllPlayers.com is all about making tasks easier and not adding redundancies and repetition to your already heavy work load. So we partnered with Quickscores to integrate their great tournament and bracket creation software into your favorite group management service (that’s us!) and now we’ve cut down on your task list even more.

If you have not already run across it, and would like to start using it right away, go to your Group Toolbox, then click on Features. At the bottom of the page is a new box with options for External Apps. Click enable (as shown in the image at the top of the page). This turns on the ability to use the service within your group.

Thanks to AllPlayers.com, enrolling youth participants in this season’s activities was extremely easy for the parents and the program!

Stay cool in the shade!

AllPlayers.com is headquartered near Dallas, TX so we’re somewhat used to unbearable heat this early in the summer, but it seems like all of the U.S. is experiencing scorching weather, and it causes serious concerns.

If your group is an outdoor sports or activity group, please PLEASE drinks lots of water!!!! Soda dehydrate your body, please do not use your favorite soda to rehydrate or drink it before going outside to play sports/games/activities. Water is best for the body, and sports drinks work as well.

The Department of Health and Human Services suggests:

• Drink plenty of water and don’t wait until you are thirsty to drink.
• Avoid alcohol and limit drinks with caffeine.
• Wear loose, light-colored clothing and sunscreen.
• Never leave children in a parked car or your pets.
• Pets can suffer from heat-related illness too. If your pet spends its days outside, make sure it has plenty of fresh water and shade.
• If outdoors, slow your pace and take frequent rest breaks.
• Don’t get too much sun. Sunburn reduces your body’s ability to dissipate heat.
• Try to limit your outdoor activity to morning and evening hours.
• If you don’t have air conditioning, go to a library or another public building where you can cool off.
• Check on elderly friends and neighbors. Make sure they’re staying cool and hydrated.

Heat exhaustion can develop following exposure for several days to high temperatures. Symptoms include rapid heartbeat, cold, pale clammy skin, nausea, dizziness, weakness, and fatigue.

Heatstroke, the most serious heat-related illness, is a medical emergency characterized by a body temperature of 103 degrees F  or greater. Symptoms include hot, red skin, rapid heartbeat, shallow breathing, disorientation, delirium, and coma.

Anyone suffering from these conditions should be moved into the shade or air conditioning. If heatstroke or serious heat exhaustion is suspected, get emergency medical assistance.

Please take care of yourself and others in this heat!!!
