Team Moms: We’ve got you covered

Other than the coaches, youth teams rely on other leaders to help manage the flow of communication, flow of children, and the flow of Gatorade. The Team Mom is an essential person to a well organized team.

Team Moms are a great asset to the coaches and managers. Leaving them to be able to focus on teaching the kids the fundamentals of the sport, the coaches know that the Team Moms are there taking care of the off-field tasks.

AllPlayers.com has become an essential tool for many Team Moms. Here is how the Team Moms have been using the various features:

Registration:

  • By having the parents/guardians sign themselves up along with their children, the Team Mom knows that she has an active list of all participants
  • Having grandparents, siblings, and friends sign up as a “Fan” they too can get updates and see all of the activities of the group
  • With the registration forms, Team Moms have a active and updated list uniform sizes, preferred numbers, and more.

Calendar:

  • Easily add events to the team calendar and if the team is a part of a larger league (sub group) all of the events on the calendar are combined and displayed in one place fore everyone to see

Communicate:

  • Team Moms love this feature. They can send a Broadcast Message (via text or email) to each participant and know the important information is getting delivered. This feature is used for uniform reminders, field and location changes, and last minute updates.
  • Using the Announcement feature, Team Moms can post recent announcements on that may not be as urgent on the home page.

File Sharing:

  • Upload and share files that the league makes available and/or asks for team-wide distribution. This saves on printing costs, cuts down on waste and helps your team be “green”.
Photo Sharing:
  • All group members can update the photo albums and share their special memories. The Team Mom can use this as a scrapbook for the team’s history and progression.

Custom Content Boxes:

  • Create custom content boxes to share any information such as tournament information. You don’t have to be a HTML guru to create customization, AllPlayers.com makes it easy!!

By using AllPlayers.com to help organize their teams, Team Moms help the coaches and managers keep the kids, parents and other participants updated on all important details of the team!!!

Making things easier, it’s kind of our thing

AllPlayers.com Admin Toolbox

AllPlayers.com Admin Toolbox

With the latest update to the AllPlayers.com system over the weekend, all group administrators will notice something different.

Things just seem easier now, don’t they?

That’s because our design and development teams brainstormed, planned, discussed, laid out, and implemented a new Admin Toolbox that provides group administrators all the routine features and functionality needed, right there at the ready.

Admins now have all of the tasks they need at any given time right on their group page, without having to go find the proper icon and select the activity. It’s now easier than ever to send a broadcast message, create a group announcement and update calendars.  Group admins can even adjust and tweak the layout of the group page through the Dashboard, all from the Admin Toolbox.

It just one more way that AllPlayers pushes for Less Work, and More Play!!!

The world is not flat – and neither is your organization!

AllPlayers group below

AllPlayers.com Groups Below or subgroups

One of the very distinct advantages of AllPlayers.com is the ability to build an organization hierarchy of groups. Called “groups below” in AllPlayers.com, subgroups help extend your organization options and give you better management over your entire organization.

Here are a few examples of how to manage multi-level organizations:

  •  SPORTS LEAGUES can build subgroups for seasons, divisions, tournaments and teams
  • SCHOOLS can create subgroups for classes, grades, extracurricular activities and clubs
  • CAMPS can build subgroups for individual camp sessions, activities and age groups
  • EVENTS can build subgroups for attendees, volunteers, committees, and participants
  • NON-PROFITS can build subgroups for events, programs, board members, donors/supporters

By using “groups below” or sub groups, managing calendars and schedules, registration and communication across all levels of participants is incredibly simple. The group administrator sees all subgroup calendars in an aggregated view for easy schedule management, and communicate and broadcasts can be sent to specific groups or all groups below.

By utilizing the organizational feature of “groups below” leagues, tournaments, clinics, camps, charities,  special events, schools, PTO’s, and even families have a micro-view and control of all participant levels.

Who Uses AllPlayers.com: Sports Teams

One of the most common types of groups that use AllPlayers.com are sports teams. Ranging from city-sponsored leagues, to select teams, to individual D-league softball teams, AllPlayers.com provides the registration, communication and overall management of teams.

How do we do this?

AllPlayers.com makes it incredibly easy to manage any number or size of sports teams.  From creating the team, setting up registration, getting uniform information, sharing calendars and schedules, and communicating any all changes or updates, a team manager needs only site: AllPlayers.com.

Create the Page

First, the manager creates a group page, setting up the team.  Through the easy-to-follow settings on the features page, the manager establishes the roles and the registration requirements for each role (player, coach, fan, parent).  If the team requires payment, AllPlayers.com handles that process easily as well, and walks the team manager through the entire process.

Registration can be open to anyone, limited by size, limited to certain age groups or open for only a specified time. All these features are customizable for the team’s needs. Once registration setup is complete, the team manager can either invite certain people via email or simply leave a registration button on the team page to allow open registration from there.

Add Content

Content such as calendar events, photos, files to be distributed and announcements can be done at any time, on an ongoing basis. Many group page administrators choose to add their initial content immediately after setting up the group page. All of this is easily done through the administrator dashboard.

Invite Participants

To invite your team members to join, simply click on Invite. This will create an email that you can copy/paste to send to your participants or their guardians. For teams that have children under 13 years of age, their guardians must create an account first, then create an account for their children. This is compliance with child protection laws.

Collect Information

Collect team information such as uniform number selection and sizes, emergency contact or other important data that you need to keep on behalf of your team.

Communicate

With AllPlayers.com it is extremely convenient to communicate with your participants. By sending a broadcast message, you can immediately reach your entire team through email or text message (they decide how they get your updates when they create their own account). This is extremely beneficial for rain outs, fields changes and other last minute announcements. You can also create basic announcements to be displayed on your group page that may not be as time sensitive.

Have fun!

All members can communicate and share photos in the social format of AllPlayers.com. Leave messages for teammates and coaches, tell them what a great job they did or share thoughts about anything at all!

Video: Clone and create multiple groups at once

This has nothing to do with Dolly, unless you’re creating a group page for her fan club, in that case send it to us so we can see it.

Cloning a group is the easiest way to create multiple groups at one time, which would be the best way to handle creating groups for large organizations or leagues. Unless you’re the untrusting type who believes that unless you do it with your own hands it isn’t getting done properly.  In which case, repetition is probably calming for you and we’re happy to provide that for you.

Video: Create a subgroup

For leagues, organizations, associations and clubs there are frequently subgroups to each main group. For example:

  • City Baseball/Softball League
    • Boys Tee-ball
    • Boys Baseball >> Select Teams
    • Boys Baseball >> Select Teams >> Age Groups
    • Boys Baseball >> Select Teams >> 14 U, 11U, 10U, 8U, etc….
    • Boys Baseball >> Recreational League
    • Boys Baseball >> Recreational League >> Age Groups, etc…
    • Girls Tee-ball
    • Girls Softball >>Select Teams
    • Girls Softball >> Select Teams >>Age Groups
    • There is no end to the Internet, so there is no end to how many subgroups I can give examples for
    • Therefore there is no limit to how many subgroups you can have.

Did you get ahead of yourself and create group but forgot to assign the proper parent group? It’s ok speed-demon, we’ll walk you through how to retroactively assign the parent group.

What is a Group?

Any collection of participants is a group.

A group can be 2 people, or it can be 2000 people. It can be an organization, school, recreational business, league, team, family… the possibilities are endless! Simply, it’s anyone who shares something in common… schedules, calendars, files, photos, announcements, the list goes on and on.
