Dear AllPlayers: oh how we love to hear good things

Below is taken from an email we received from a team mom who volunteers for her daughter’s soccer team and softball team.  We really like to receive these emails, considering how loose some people can be with their “constructive” criticisms of things like color usage, we want to shout these compliments from the rooftops. And since we don’t have rooftop access to our office building in Irving and nobody on staff is willing to take risks of outdoor window climbing like Tom Cruise in MI:4, we’ll spread our accolades the old fashioned way.

Hi AllPlayers,

I am a team mom for my daughter’s soccer team and this year volunteered to help out new her softball team. I just got back from an introduction meeting for the softball team moms. I’ve gotten used to her soccer league and head coach sending emails and updates through Allplayers, and at this softball meeting I realized how disorganized leagues are. The league had no idea when the schedule was going to be announced because they were still trying to work it out, they weren’t even sure how they were going to tell the teams or parents when the schedule was finalized – send an email to all coaches, all parents..? Also for forms and picture orders they gave each team one photocopied form and told us we had to go make copies to hand out to each player.  And for weather days, we were told to check their web site first, and if it wasn’t updated check the Facebook page, and if it wasn’t updated call the league’s phone number.

With our soccer team, the schedule was announced on our team page, the coach sent us emails, we could check the team page whenever we wanted for all updates, our team and individual photo order forms are available for us to download ourselves and being team mom is fun. I get to actually do stuff for the players instead of be a secretary.

I mentioned that the softball league should look into AllPlayers, and they said they’d heard of it but they were in contract with the scheduling tool and web site they’d been using for a few years but were going to check you guys out again to see if they do both. I hope they can.

Thanks
