Who Uses AllPlayers.com: Sports Teams

One of the most common types of groups that use AllPlayers.com are sports teams. Ranging from city-sponsored leagues, to select teams, to individual D-league softball teams, AllPlayers.com provides the registration, communication and overall management of teams.

How do we do this?

AllPlayers.com makes it incredibly easy to manage any number or size of sports teams.  From creating the team, setting up registration, getting uniform information, sharing calendars and schedules, and communicating any all changes or updates, a team manager needs only site: AllPlayers.com.

Create the Page

First, the manager creates a group page, setting up the team.  Through the easy-to-follow settings on the features page, the manager establishes the roles and the registration requirements for each role (player, coach, fan, parent).  If the team requires payment, AllPlayers.com handles that process easily as well, and walks the team manager through the entire process.

Registration can be open to anyone, limited by size, limited to certain age groups or open for only a specified time. All these features are customizable for the team’s needs. Once registration setup is complete, the team manager can either invite certain people via email or simply leave a registration button on the team page to allow open registration from there.

Add Content

Content such as calendar events, photos, files to be distributed and announcements can be done at any time, on an ongoing basis. Many group page administrators choose to add their initial content immediately after setting up the group page. All of this is easily done through the administrator dashboard.

Invite Participants

To invite your team members to join, simply click on Invite. This will create an email that you can copy/paste to send to your participants or their guardians. For teams that have children under 13 years of age, their guardians must create an account first, then create an account for their children. This is compliance with child protection laws.

Collect Information

Collect team information such as uniform number selection and sizes, emergency contact or other important data that you need to keep on behalf of your team.

Communicate

With AllPlayers.com it is extremely convenient to communicate with your participants. By sending a broadcast message, you can immediately reach your entire team through email or text message (they decide how they get your updates when they create their own account). This is extremely beneficial for rain outs, fields changes and other last minute announcements. You can also create basic announcements to be displayed on your group page that may not be as time sensitive.

Have fun!

All members can communicate and share photos in the social format of AllPlayers.com. Leave messages for teammates and coaches, tell them what a great job they did or share thoughts about anything at all!

Dear AllPlayers: oh how we love to hear good things

Below is taken from an email we received from a team mom who volunteers for her daughter’s soccer team and softball team.  We really like to receive these emails, considering how loose some people can be with their “constructive” criticisms of things like color usage, we want to shout these compliments from the rooftops. And since we don’t have rooftop access to our office building in Irving and nobody on staff is willing to take risks of outdoor window climbing like Tom Cruise in MI:4, we’ll spread our accolades the old fashioned way.

Hi AllPlayers,

I am a team mom for my daughter’s soccer team and this year volunteered to help out new her softball team. I just got back from an introduction meeting for the softball team moms. I’ve gotten used to her soccer league and head coach sending emails and updates through Allplayers, and at this softball meeting I realized how disorganized leagues are. The league had no idea when the schedule was going to be announced because they were still trying to work it out, they weren’t even sure how they were going to tell the teams or parents when the schedule was finalized – send an email to all coaches, all parents..? Also for forms and picture orders they gave each team one photocopied form and told us we had to go make copies to hand out to each player.  And for weather days, we were told to check their web site first, and if it wasn’t updated check the Facebook page, and if it wasn’t updated call the league’s phone number.

With our soccer team, the schedule was announced on our team page, the coach sent us emails, we could check the team page whenever we wanted for all updates, our team and individual photo order forms are available for us to download ourselves and being team mom is fun. I get to actually do stuff for the players instead of be a secretary.

I mentioned that the softball league should look into AllPlayers, and they said they’d heard of it but they were in contract with the scheduling tool and web site they’d been using for a few years but were going to check you guys out again to see if they do both. I hope they can.

Thanks
